Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer, Business Analytics to help build lightweight software tools, dashboards, automations, and data workflows that improve how HavocAI operates. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, business operations, analytics, and rapid prototyping.

What You Will Do

You will work with teams across the company to understand business needs, identify process gaps, and build practical tools that make information easier to access, analyze, and act on. This may include internal dashboards, reporting workflows, data pipelines, lightweight applications, AI-assisted tools, and automations that reduce manual work.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Success in this role requires curiosity, strong technical fundamentals, good judgment, and the ability to turn unclear requests into working tools quickly. This is a great role for an early-career engineer who enjoys “vibe coding,” rapid iteration, AI-assisted development, and solving ambiguous business problems with simple, useful software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in software engineering, analytics engineering, business analytics, data analytics, automation, or a related technical role
  • Strong programming fundamentals, preferably with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, or similar languages
  • Experience building dashboards, reports, scripts, automations, internal tools, or lightweight applications
  • Comfort working with APIs, databases, spreadsheets, and structured data
  • Ability to use AI-assisted development tools effectively while applying sound judgment and technical review
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with ambiguous requirements and turn business needs into usable tools
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • High ownership, curiosity, and willingness to learn quickly in a fast-moving environment
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Benefits

  • 100% Employer paid Health, Dental and Vision Insurance for you and your families
  • Life Insurance (Employer Paid)
  • Ability to participate in the companies 401k program (Matching)
  • Unlimited PTO policy with an enforced 2 week minimum
  • Equity Package
  • Work / Home Office Stipend
  • Global Entry
  • 16 Week Paid Parental Leave
  • Monthly Health and Wellness Stipend

Before you apply

  • Confirm async-friendly culture vs daily standup-heavy expectations
  • Ask about on-call rotation and incident expectations
  • Check the tech stack matches what you actually want to use day-to-day
