Accountant

Job summary:

As an Accountant at IBS, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial integrity, contributing to strategic financial decisions, and ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks, from managing accounts payable and receivable to reconciling financial statements and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
• Performing bank reconciliations, identifying discrepancies, and resolving financial issues.
• Processing payroll accurately and on time, adhering to regulatory requirements.
• Preparing and analysing financial statements, highlighting key insights and trends.
• Collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate and complete financial data.
• Utilizing your expertise in Xero accounting software to streamline financial processes.
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Providing insightful financial analysis and recommendations for strategic planning.
• Contributing to process improvements and system enhancements.
• Assisting in the preparation of BAS returns and ensuring adherence to tax regulations.
• Supporting the Group Accountant and senior leadership with ad hoc financial projects.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in using Xero accounting software is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Previous experience with invoice management and accounts payable/receivable.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Proven track record of maintaining financial accuracy and integrity.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Other requirements:

• Must have a stable primary internet connection and a backup connection
• Able to work in case of power outages continuously (has backup power source/ample power bank)
