Supplier Quality Engineer - SG

The Company

Our client is one of the worlds leading manufacturers of hyperpure silicon wafers and a trusted partner to major semiconductor companies globally. We are seeking a driven and analytical Process Engineer to support wafer manufacturing operations in achieving quality, yield, and production excellence. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with global technology teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic semiconductor environment.

Scope of Position :

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary quality interface between the company and suppliers, ensuring strong supplier quality management practices.
• Manage material specifications, Supplier Quality Agreements (SQA/QAA), Supplier Quality Control (SQC), and supplier early alert systems, including coordination and formal sign-off with suppliers.
• Ensure that only materials meeting defined specification and quality requirements are released for production.
• Collaborate with FMOS and Global/Local Procurement & Logistics teams to ensure suppliers are approved and managed according to standardized global processes.
• Establish, monitor, and report supplier quality KPIs on a regular basis.
• Conduct periodic supplier quality and on-site contractor performance reviews.
• Drive alignment and continuous improvement of supplier quality processes and incoming quality control practices across the organization.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or a related Science discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in supplier quality, audits, and quality management systems.
• Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and audit processes.
• Proficient in statistical techniques and quality tools such as FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
• Mandatory: Knowledge of IATF 16949 and/or ISO 9001 standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
