Position: Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) Expert — Data Centers
Type:Contract
Compensation:$100–$140/hour
Location:Remote
Commitment:5–10 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Review complex engineering tasks in data-center projects to ensure realistic design and construction scenarios.
• Evaluate structural and civil design, geotechnical inputs, and compliance with building codes and AHJ requirements.
• Identify and resolve ambiguities, conflicting documents, and unrealistic deliverables.
• Improve task prompts, acceptance criteria, and programmatic checks for better alignment with professional standards.
• Produce clear technical findings and validate tasks from start to finish.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve task quality.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 2+ years of experience in data centers or complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong command of U.S. building codes and engineering standards.
• Ability to interpret large document sets, specifications, and technical registers.

Preferred

• Experience in roles such as Senior Structural Engineer, Civil Engineer, or Project Architect.
• PE, SE, or RA credentials.
• Experience at a leading multidisciplinary AEC or consulting engineering firm.
