The Commercial Development Manager (Forestry) supports the Sales Director in executing the Forestry sector sales strategy, driving growth through effective account management, team leadership, and customer engagement. This role plays a key part in developing customer relationships and unlocking new market opportunities.
The Role:
- Support the implementation of sector sales strategies within the Business Development Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager teams.
- Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to drive high performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
- Lead the development and execution of customer account plans.
- Collaborate with marketing, category, and commercial teams on go-to-market activities.
- Monitor sales performance and KPIs, adjusting plans as needed.
- Support customer pricing strategy in collaboration with the Commercial team.
- Engage with major projects and key opportunities within the sector.
- Support sales forecasting and contribute to the S&OP process
- Lead the organisation's participation in forestry trade events, promoting services, developing strategic partnerships, and generating new business opportunities.
Skills required:
- Strong commercial awareness and business development capability.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and execute sales strategies and account plans
